After a few E.P’s which saw Deadpoole explore the limits of Hip-Hop and beyond, this is the UK producers first full album which see’s him bring it in to a more formed style. It’s abstract Trip Hop bordering on a touch of down tempo House in places as well. It reminds me a touch of Prefuse 73 but where as I find Prefuse either very hit or very miss, this is a lot safer and makes for a more consistent listen. There’s some really dope instrumental head nodders in the album and some good features most notably by our old friend Booda French. Even if you’re an ardent Boom Bap head, there’s bound to be a few joints on this album that warm up your neck muscles at the very least. If you’re a big fan of abstract electronic Hip-Hop then I’m pretty sure you’ll love it!
